About the Journal

Pakistan Journal of Ophthalmology is an official journal published by the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan. It is an open access, double blind, peer review, quarterly published journal. It allows for immediate free access to the scholarly work in all the branches of Ophthalmology and its allied Sciences, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.

PJO follows the COPE (https://publicationethics.org) and the ICMJE’s (http://www.icmje.org) best practice guidelines for publishing of scholarly manuscripts. It is expected of authors, reviewers and editors that they follow the best-practice guidelines on ethical behaviour contained therein.

Pakistan Journal of Ophthalmology is taking an initiative to formally acknowledge the invaluable services of our esteemed reviewers in the form of Certificate of Appreciation issued by the Journal at the end of each year and remuneration of PKR 1,000 per completed review, disbursed via cheque at the end of every published volume.
